Joynal Abedin Hazari aka Joynal Hazari, once known for his "control" of the politics in Feni for over two decades as the district Awami League (AL) unit's general secretary, has been elevated to the member of the ruling party's Advisory Council.
AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made the announcement on Wednesday (Oct 2).
Recently, PM Hasina donated Tk 4 million to Joynal Hazari for his treatment.
When the Feni leader had met the party chief at Ganobhban to receive the money Hasina talked about politics, inquired about his health and prayed for his recovery of the much-talked-about leader.
A three-times elected member of parliament, Joynal Hazari got involved in politics when he was a student at Feni College towards the end of the 1960s.
He was the district AL unit's general secretary since 1984 before being suspended from the party in 2004. Since then, Joynal Hazari had become inactive in politics for years.
