A delegation of BNP led by its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is meeting Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal to discuss the incarcerated party chief Khaleda Zia’s medical care.

The meeting is being held at the home minister’s Secretariat office on Tuesday (Mar 5) afternoon.

The other leaders in the BNP delegation are, members of the party’s policymaking Standing Committee, Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Mirza Abbas, Nazrul Islam Khan, Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan and Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury.

Sources said the discussion will centre on medical care for Khaleda Zia. The senior leaders are likely to urge the minister for moving Khaleda to a specialized hospital.
