JP ticket for those who can contribute to Parliament: GM Quader

Jatiya Party Co-Chairman GM Quader. File PhotoJatiya Party (JP) will only nominate those for the reserved women’s seats, who can contribute to the Parliament and make the opposition stronger, said the party’s Co-Chairman GM Quader.
“The aspirants’ educational qualifications and their contributions to the party will also be taken into account,” told the media on Wednesday (Feb 6) after interviewing the JP aspirants for the reserved women’s seats in Parliament.
“After the interview, the final list will be sent to JP Chairman HM Ershad for approval,” he added.
GM Quader who also serves as the deputy opposition leader in the House urged the media to not to present news that is misleading.
The election to the reserved women seats of the 11th Parliament will be held on March 4.
According to the Election Commission law, the number of reserved seats for women is 50 and there are no fixed constituencies for them.
The seats are distributed on the basis of the seats won by the party or the alliances and JP will get four seats.
