The dialogue will be held at 7:30pm at the PM’s official residence, the Ganabhaban, said Awami League’s Publicity and Publication Secretary Hasan Mahmud.
Mahmud went to Badruddoza’s Baridhara residence around 10:30pm to hand over the party chief’s invitation.
“The prime minister has invited Bikalpa Dhara at Ganabhaban on Nov 2 (Friday),” he said.
The Awami League’s invitation came soon after Bikalpa Dhara chief Badruddoza sent a letter to Hasina welcoming the initiative for talks with Oikya Front and seeking an audience with the prime minister.
“Two leaders of the Awami League have come to Badruddoza Chowdhury’s residence to hand over the prime minister’s invitation. Bikalpa Dhara has been invited for talks at 7:30pm on Nov 2,” Bikalpa Dhara Organising Secretary Umar Faruk told Bangla Tribune.
In his letter, Badruddoza said that they were “delighted” to see Hasina taking steps for talks as demanded by his party to “overcome the current political crisis”.
“In this circumstance, we will be happy if you invite us to a political dialogue at a time that suits you,” he wrote.

“We believe that every problem during this critical political juncture facing the nation can be resolved through good wishes and goodwill,” he added.
