The coronavirus situation is likely to deteriorate from April, says Dhaka South Mayor Sayeed Khokon.
“The expatriates have risked the lives of citizens, as they roamed freely in the country after returning home,” Khokon said while addressing an emergency meeting over fighting the pandemic on Sunday (Mar 22) at Nagar Bhaban in Dhaka.
“A strong committee should be formed to prevent transmission and fighting coronavirus among citizens,” he added.
The Dhaka South mayor has proposed deploying detective agencies for the surveillance of the infected people before they spread the virus.
