Woman dies of dengue at DMCH

The deceased is Moushumi Akhter, 25, wife of Md Mamun and a resident of Bhandaria in Pirojpur. She used to live at Agargoan in the capital.

The young woman died around 11:00am on Thursday (Aug 15), says DMCH police camp in-charge Inspector Md Bachchu Mia.

Moushumi’s husband Md Mamum said that she tested positive for the fever at the National Institute of Diseases of the Chest and Hospital on Wednesday (Aug 14) and was later admitted to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital.

She was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit of DMCH around 10:00am on Thursday when her condition deteriorated.
