Rescue personnel have recovered the body of another victim among the six who drowned after a boat capsized in the Buriganga River.
“A joint rescue team of Naval police and Fire Service recovered the body of 7-year-old Mahi near to Ahsan Manzil Museum from the river around 8.30am,” Sadarghat Police OC Abdur Razzak told Bangla Tribune.
“The body has been sent to Mitford Hospital for autopsy,” said Razzak.
On Friday (Mar 8), a woman was recovered during a Fire Service search operation.
Arund 9:45pm on Thursday (Mar 7), the boat capsized after it was hit by a launch near the Sadarghat Launch Terminal.
