Police has cancelled a discussion talk event of prominent Indian author Arundhati Roy over security concerns.
The event was scheduled to be held at the capital’s Krishibid Institute Auditorium on Tuesday (Jan 5) evening.
Tejgaon police OC Mazharul Islam cited ‘unavoidable circumstances’ as the reason to cancel the permission to stage the program.
Noted Bangladeshi photographer Shahidul Alam was supposed to attend the talk, titled ‘Utmost Everything’, which was a part of ongoing International Chobi Mela International Festival of Photography.
