Arundhati's talk moved to Midas Centre

Prominent Indian author Arundhati Roy's talk, which was cancelled by the police at its initial venue, has been shifted to Gulshan's Midas Centre.
The announcement, made it the Facebook page of ongoing 'Chobi Mela International Festival of Photography,' said that the talk will be held at 6pm on Tuesday (Mar 5).
The event was initially scheduled to be held at the capital's Krishibid Institute Audirorium, which was cancelled by the police over security concerns.
Arundhati Roy arrived at Dhaka and visiting Chob Mela X exhibitions on Monday (Mar 4).Tejgaon police OC Mazharul Islam cited ‘unavoidable circumstances’ as the reason to cancel the permission to stage the program.
Noted Bangladeshi photographer Shahidul Alam will attend the talk, titled ‘Utmost Everything’, which is part of ongoing International Chobi Mela International Festival of Photography.
