Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained eight people for allegedly spreading rumour and provocative videos on social media.
They were held from the capital’s Mogbazar and Mouchak area on Saturday (Dec 29).
Identities of the detained were not immediately available.
Media wing Director of the elite force Mufti Mahmud Khan said, details will be briefed to the media around 11am on Saturday.
Laptops, mobile phones and other equipments used for making the provocative contents were seized from the arrestees, he added.
