The High Court has directed the Election Commission (EC) to accept Hero Alom's nomination papers clearing the way for the internet sensation to contest the upcoming polls.
The HC bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Razik Al Jalil passed the order on Monday (Dec 10)
On Dec 2, Alom's nomination was scrapped by the concerned returning officer on grounds of erroneous supporter list.
Alom initially announced that he wanted to run from Bagura-4 on a Jatiya Party ticket. He later filed his nomination independently.
