Newly-elected leaders Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) will be accorded a grand inauguration ceremony, says Vice- Chancellor Dr Akhtaruzzaman.
The decision was taken during the first executive body meeting, held on Saturday (Mar 23), Akhtaruzzaman, who is also ex-officio DUCSU president, told the media.
“Today was the inaugural meeting of the elected panel marking the official beginning of DUCSU activities. We have decided that a grand event will be organized with the president or the prime minister as honourable guests,” Akhtaruzzaman said after the meeting.
DUCSU General Secretary Golam Rabbani said, “We officially took charge today. We have decided to hold an inauguration ceremony.”
“It could take around two months to hold it,” Rabbani added.
