Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been nominated a lifetime member of the Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU).
DUCSU General Secretary Golam Rabbani tabled the matter during the first meeting and it was accepted unanimously on Saturday (Mar 23).
Earlier, first DUCSU meeting convened chaired by Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor and DUCSU President Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman.
DUCSU Vice-President-elect Nurul Haque Nur has also decided to formally accept the duties of his position ending all speculations.
A total of 25 leaders of DUCSU and 234 hall union representatives were elected after 28 years. The last DUCSU polls were held in 1990.
