The bypass surgery of ailing Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, now is undergoing at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.
Dr Sivathasan Cumaraswamy, cardiothoracic surgeon at the hospital and senior teammate of the medical board formed for Quader’s treatment, is conducting the surgery which began at 9am (Singapore time) on Thursday (Mar 20), information officer of the Road Transport and Bridges Ministry Abu Naser told BSS.
Dr Koh Siam Soon Philip is head of the medical board, he added.
Family members of Obaidul Quader sought ‘doa’ from the countrymen for recovery of the AL general secretary.
