Chhatra Dal led a protest rally on Tuesday (Mar 12) where they made their demands.
The administration can’t go against Chhatra League’s decision, the speakers said at the rally and added that they will continue their protests.
They demanded that the new polls schedule be announced in line with the Chhatra Dal’s seven point demand which includes moving the polling stations from the student halls to the academic buildings.
“We called for a day-long strike which the regular students responded to,” Anisur Rahman Khandaker Anik, Chhatra Dal panel’s general secretary candidate told Bangle Tribune.
“We have to take action against those who foiled the long standing tradition of the university,” he added.

JCD and other panels including the leftist alliance student bodies called for strike and class boycott on Monday (Mar 11) over allegations of irregularities in the DUCSU polls held after 28 years.
Meanwhile, quota reform movement leader Nurul Hoque Nuru bagged the DUCSU vice president post with 11,062 votes.
The ruling Awami League’s student body Chhatra League leader Golam Rabbani became the DUCSU general secretary with 10,484 votes.
The Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Dr Md Akhterruzzaman announced the result early on Tuesday after voting ended on Monday (Mar 11) at 2 pm.
