A Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activist has started a case, which accuses among others DUCSU vice president-elect Nurul Haque Nur and Leftits students panel vice-president (VP) candidate Liton Nandi for assaulting Ruqayyah Hall provost during the DUCSU polls on Monday (Mar 11).
A Ruqayyah Hall student filed the case late on Monday with Shahbag Police, BSS reported quoting OC Abul Hasan.
Apart from Nandi and Nur, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) general secretary (GS) aspirant Anisur Rahman Khondakar, Chhatra Federation GS candidate Umme Habiba Benjir, independent candidate for VP post in Ruqayyah hall Sheikh Mousumi and Swatantra Jote aspirant for struggle for independence and liberation war affair secretary in central union Shrobona Shafiq Dipti were also named in the case, the OC added.
