“Even if Jamaat apologises, it would not get impunity from the charges of genocide,” he said while addressing a book launching ceremony at the National Museum auditorium in Dhaka on Wednesday (Feb 20).
“And BNP should seek apology for sheltering Jamaat and making ties with the party to form government. That’s why BNP along with Jamaat should seek apology,” added Hasan.
BNP’s recent decision not to take part in the upcoming upazila and city corporation elections means that the party is getting isolated from people gradually.
Hasan, also AL publicity and publication secretary, said the BNP may loss its courage to take part in the elections after its massive defeat in the last general election, urging BNP to show courage and take part in the upcoming elections.
