Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been elected leader of the 11th Parliament.
On Thursday (Jan 3), the newly elected Member of Parliament’s elected her the head, confirmed Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed.
The name of the prime minister as head of parliament was proposed by party General Secretary Obaidul Quader which was supported by industry minister Amir Hossain Amu.
Relevant to note, in the just concluded 11th Parliamentary Elections, Awami League (AL) led Alliance won 288 seats with AL bagging 257.
