The Election Commission has ordered the withdrawal of Gaibandha's Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sebastian Rema, Faridpur's Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) and four police OCs.

The police station chiefs are -- Kazi Mainul Islam Dhaka's Ramna police Abdul Mojid, Noakhali's Sonaimuri, Md Mostafizur Rahman Thakurgaon Sadar and Kabir Hossain of Brahmanbaria's Bijaynagar. 

Written orders in this regard have been forwarded to public administration ministry and offices of the inspector general of police on Wednesday (Dec 19), according to commission sources.

DC Rema is being removed as the EC isn't satisfied at his performance while Faridpur ADC Saiful is being removed as his father is a BNP candidate for Cumilla-10 constituency.
