The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has found an arms factory at the remote area in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday (July 21).
“Acting on a tip-off, RAB conducted raids in several hilly areas at district’s Moheshkhali Upazila and found the arms factory in Kalamarchara Union,” said RAB company commander Major Mehedi Hasan.
“The raids started Saturday evening and at 11pm we found the factory located between upazila’s Kalarmarchhara and Hoanak Upazila,” he added.
The elite force has recovered 20 guns, bullets from the spot and held two people during the raid.
The arrestees are Abdul Hakim, 38 and Md Shahidullah, 31.
