AL will lose if fair election is ensured: Kader Siddique

"If there is a fair election, Awami League will not be in power after the next polls,” he said while speaking at a gathering of his party in Kanaikhali in Natore Thursday (Jan 25).
Kader Siddique said BNP leaders and workers ran away from their localities and saved their life after 2008 national election, but Awami League leaders and workers would not be so lucky if they lose in the next polls.
Criticizing the AL president Sheikh Hasina, Kader Siddique said, “It doesn’t go with her image as she and her government is elected by just 13 percent votes.”
He also said, "Although AL is a party of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Awami League leaders and activists do not love Bangabandhu."
Hasanul Haque Inu, one of the responsible persons for the killing of Bangabandhu, and Matia Chowdhury, who bitterly criticized Bangabandhu when he was alive are now ministers of the present AL government, he said.
Natore District Krishak Sramik Janata League convener Shahidul Islam Munshi presided over the meeting while among others, the general secretary of the Krishak Sramik Janata League Bir Pratik Habibur Rahman Talukder, general secretary of central Jubo Sramik Janata League Habibun Nabi Sohel, local leader and freedom fighter Tomser Ali, Saiful Islam, Kaiser Zaman Khan, SM Aynal Hossain and Sohrab Hossain are present in the programme.
