Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at Brahmanbaria is on the alert as Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) is pushing the Rohingyas living at the border to Bangladesh.
BSF battalions are pushing the 31 Rohingyas living in the no man’s land at the district’s Kasba Upazila towards Bangladesh since Friday night, said Gopinathpur Union Chairman SM Mannan Jahangir.
He added that BGB have tightened security at the border and the village people are vigilant so that the Rohingyas can’t cross over.
“We think that the people at the no man’s land are Indian citizens,” said BGB official Major Shafiq.
He added that a flag meeting with BSF will make things clearer.
