Bangladeshi shot to death by BSF in Thakurgaon

Border. FILE PHOTOA Bangladeshi man was shot to death by Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) at Thakurgaon’s Dharmaghat border early on Friday (Jan 18).
The deceased is 21-year-old Raju, who was shot by BSF when he, accompanied by a four-five cattle traders crossed over to Indian territory, BGB sources confirmed.
BSF troops ordered Raju to surrender but he allegedly tried to make a run for it and was shot. The whereabouts of his companions are still unknown.
BGB official Lt Col Tuhin Mohammad Masud said that they wrote to BSF authorities condemning the killing.
He added that Raju’s body will be recovered through a flag meeting of the battalions.
Previously on Tuesday (Jan 16) another cattle trader was shot by BSF members at Nilfamari’s Dimla border.
