A display of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) has begun in Khulna-2 constituency aimed at raising awareness among the voters on the use of EMVs during the 11th Parliamentary Election slated for Dec 30.
The EVMs will remain on display at four polling centres of the city’s ward no. 22 – Khulna Zilla School, Pioneer Girls College, Abu Hanif Keratul Quran Madrasha and Fatima Girls School.
Khulna’s Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Mohammad Helal Uddin disclosed this to the media at a view-exchange meeting in the city on Saturday.
Uddin said, “Apart from this, EVM will be gradually displayed at 157 centres from 10am to 5pm on Dec 12 which will be continued till Dec 29.
“Voters’ query on the use of EVM will be solved through such display,” he added.
