At least three university students were killed as a passenger bus collided head-on with a motorcycle in Damarai area on Friday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Hridoy Hossen and Mridul, two students of private Gano Bishwabidhaloy and Manik Hossen, a student of Savar University College.
Police said the accident occurred while a Manikganj-bound bus of ‘SuvoJatra’ transport collided head-on with a motorcycle at Jaipura Kelia area on Dhaka-Aricha Highway causing instantaneous deaths to three bike riders.
Police and fire service vehicles rushed to the spot immediately after the incident and recovered the bodies.
Police seized the bus but its driver and helper managed to flee.
