On Sunday (Dec 2), the returning officers scrapped all three BNP nomination for the Bogura-7 seat including incarcerated party Chief Khaleda Zia.
Khaleda, who is serving time for graft was supposed to contest the polls from there but became ineligible due to the High Court rule that anyone sentenced to more than two years cannot participate in the polls.

However, Milton claims that he resigned on Nov 29 and sent copies of his resignation to the returning officers and the other concerned offices. He said that his nomination was wrongfully scrapped and he will appeal against it.
Milton’s supporters and BNP activists flocked the district’s administrator’s office and staged a protest rally, demanding to accept his nomination saying that the returning officers have scrapped his nomination illegally.
