A Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) member has been detained for alleged possession of 2,000 pieces of contraband yaba in Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf Upazila.
The detainee is 35-year-old Enamul Hoque, a member of the Teknaf-2 BGB battalion.
“Police raided a Dhaka bound bus on a tip off and detained Enamul,” said Teknaf Model police OC Pradip Kumar Das.
“He was carrying the yaba on the way to his home. A case will be filed against him,” Das added.
