The entrance exam for Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) for the academic year 2018-19 has been held on Saturday (Oct 27) with over 3000 reported absent.

The one-and-half-hour exam ended at 12:30 pm which took place at various venues in Khulna including the KUET campus.

7282 students among 10,730 took part in Saturday’s test while 3448 didn’t show up.

The examinees are vying for 1,065 seats in 16 departments.

The Vice-Chancellor of KUET Dr Kazi Sazzad Hossain said that the exams were held peacefully.
