He suddenly fell ill while unveiling a name plaque of an educational institution in Ullapara.

Political Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister HT Imam has been admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.

He suddenly fell ill while attending an event in Sirajganj’s Ullapara Upazila, his son Tanvir Imam told media.

Imam was airlifted from the venue to the capital’s CMH, added his son.

Deputy Civil Surgeon of Sirakganj Dr Md Saiful Islam told Bangla Tribune that a team of three CMH doctors led by Lt. Col. Yusuf reached the scene in a helicopter and checked his vitals before airlifting him back to Dhaka’s CMH.

His blood pressure suddenly fell, he added.

Tanvir, the local MP, said that his father was airlifted to CMH for better treatment. However, he was feeling better when he started for Dhaka, he added.
