SA Games: Bangladesh bags three golds in archery

From left Hakim Ahmed Rubel, Mohammad Tamimul Islam, Ruman ShanaBangladesh archers start the day in style when Ruman Shana, Mohammad Tamimul Islam and Hakim Ahmed Rubel won the first gold in archery at the 13th South Asian Games after beating Sri Lanka by 5-3 sets in the recurve men's team final in Pokhara, Nepal.
Women's recurve team consisting Ety Khatun, Mehnaz Akter and Beauty Roy also won gold beating Sri Lanka by straight 6-0 sets on Sunday (Dec 8).
Later, Ruman and Ety bagged third gold in archery after beating Bhutan in the recurve mixed team final. They beat Sonam Dema and Kinley Tsheeing by 6-2 sets.
Four more finals out of total six team events of archery are scheduled to be held today with Bangladesh favourites to bag the most.
