BNP leaders are speaking gibberish sensing their defeat in the Dhaka city polls, says Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.
Coming down heavily on BNP senior leaders Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Moudud Ahmed for their recent remarks, Quader said, “Fakhrul, Moudud made prior allegations even before the Dhaka city polls held. It’s their old habit to talk like this. They lost the polls in advance.”
Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, told media before joining a feast and reunion function of AL’s 21st national council at Ramna Restaurant in Dhaka on Sunday (Jan 5).
Ruling out the BNP’s allegation that the country is heading towards a dynastic politics, Quader said there is no democracy in the BNP but it is prevailing in the ruling party.
“Where did Begum Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman come from? I want to know which family they belong to. BNP itself originated from a family. Khaleda and her son are all in all in BNP,” said Quader, the senior leader of the ruling party.
“Mirza Fakhrul Islam is working as a yes man for the duo,” he added.
