Rumeen Farhana, BNP's lone MP from women’s reserved seat, has withdrawn her application for allotment of a 10-katha land in Purbachal of Dhaka.
She declared her decision to withdraw her land request in an application submitted to the Housing and Public Works Minister on Tuesday (Aug 27).
In Tuesday’s application, she wrote that she was withdrawing her land allotment request as a mark of her respect to the wishes of BNP central leaders, activists and the party’s well-wishers.
When approached for comment over the matter, BNP chairperson’s media wing member Khairul Kabir Khan told Bangla Tribune that Rumeen had taken an excellent decision by withdrawing her application.
Rumeen submitted an application for allotment of a land in the capital on Aug 3.
