It was unethical of BNP member of parliament Rumeen Farhana to apply for a government plot although there was nothing wrong with it, says party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
The BNP senior leader came up with the comment at a progamme in Dhaka on Tuesday (Aug 27).
Farkhrul claimed that a certain quarter by running propaganda against BNP’s lone MP from women’s reserved seat on social media platforms and newspapers although she had done nothing wrong.
It might have been unethical of Rumeen to apply for a government plot but she was one of the most prominent voices from BNP who actively spoke against this government, he said.
He urged others who held the same beliefs as her to refrain from making negative comments about her as it harmed the party’s movement.
