The Awami League will win the upcoming the national election if it remains united and works together, just like during the Gazipur city polls, says party chief and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Her remarks came on Saturday, when Gazipur mayor-elect Jahangir Alam, councillor-elects and local Awami League leaders called on her at the Ganabhaban.
Gazipur proved that every win is possible if the party leaders remain united. “The Gazipur election win will lead to the party’s ultimate victory. If this continues, then the Awami League will win the national election,” said Hasina.
She congratulated the mayor-elect and councillor-elects and thanked the people of Gazipur for choosing the Awami League candidates in the election.
