Senior BNP leader Khandaker Mahbub Hossain. File PhotoPrime Minister Sheikh Hasina has rivulet her oath to office over her derogatory remarks on Khaleda Zia’s release from prison, says senior BNP leader Khandaker Mahbub Hossain.

Citing a recent comment the BNP vice-chairman said, "Whether the current prime minister is legal or illegal, as per the Constitution, the prime minister is sworn in with the words, ‘I will be out off any affinity-aversion as prime minister’.

“But the prime minister said in a bulge at London saying, if she’s insulted there, then Khaleda Zia wouldn’t be freed. I think she broke the oath here.”

khandakar Mahbub’s remarks came on Saturday (May 4) while addressing a discussion at the National Press Club on Saturday (May 4).

Pro-BNP ‘Zia Adarsha Parishad’ organized the event to press the demand BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s release and withdrawal of ‘false’ charges against acting chief Tarique Rahman.

The BNP leader alleged that Hasina through her recent remarks in London has proved that Khaleda Zia has been jailed “at her behest”.

“Prime minister’s comments have gone viral as she asked supporters to tell Tarique [BNP acting chairman] that his mother won’t be able to come out of jail if he doesn’t back off,” said the BNP leader.
