There is no discord within Jatiya Party (JP) regarding Chairman HM Ershad’s decisions, said the party’s Senior Co-Chairman Raushon Ershad.
“Everyone in the party will accept whatever he decides,” she said on Tuesday (Apr 2) during a rally in front of the JP headquarters in Kakrail.
Claiming that all the cases against Ershad were politically motivated, she said, “He is the most beloved political figure in the country and hence he’s being suppressed with false cases.”
Raushon said that since Sheikh Mujibur Rahman died as a result of conspiracy within a few years of Independence, it was during the former military dictator’s regime the country underwent development.
Raushon, who has recently been appointed the leader of opposition, also said that they will talk about the gas price hike in the Parliament.
