Oikya Front to hold ‘national dialogue’

Jatiya Oikya FrontOpposition alliance, Jatiya Oikya Front has announced that it will hold a national dialogue, after a meeting of its policymaking Steering Committee on Tuesday (Jan 8).
In addition to the dialogue, they have also announced that they will file a case with the election tribunal and visit opposition activists who were injured in violence during the national polls.
Oikya Front convener Dr Kamal Hossain made the announcement during a media briefing.
He said that an Oikya Front activist was killed in during polls-related violence in Sylhet on Dec 30 and the leaders will be visiting that area within the next one week.
The Kamal Hossain-led alliance announced three of these programs, after they boycotted the Dec 30 polls, saying that it was rigged. The seven Oikya Front MPs-elect even refused to take oath with the others on Thursday (Jan 2).
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was present at the briefing with the coalition’s top brass.
