BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir speaking to the media on Tuesday (Jan 8).BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the party has completely rejected the newly formed Awami League-led government.
“We have boycotted the polls outcome, formation of the Parliament and government,” he told the media on Tuesday (Jan 8) at the party headquarters at Naya Paltan.
He said that the people themselves have not accepted the polls outcome and to form Parliament or government on the basis of such outcome is “laughable.”
I believe that this government has no right to run the country of 160 million people, he said adding that they have conned the masses.
“This government was never voted to power by the people,” Fakhrul said.
The senior BNP leader said that they will protest on behalf of the people to restore a democratic government.
