“The Jatiya Party will field candidates in all 300 parliamentary seats of the BNP sits out of the election,” it Co-Chairman GM Quader told the media on Monday.
Responding to a query, he said that they have not raised any ‘specific demands’ in the talks at the Ganbhaban, but polls in line with the charter.
“We have discussed the political situation ahead of the election,” he said before adding that Jatiya Party will take part in the polls as an Awami League ally if the BNP contests.
Meanwhile, emerging from the talks, Jatiya Party chief HM Ershad said, “I was not here to hold a dialogue.”
