None of Oikya Front’s demands will be met, said Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.
“Their seven-point demand is baseless and illogical,” Quader told the media after visiting the progress of metro-rail project at Diabari area of Uttara in the capital on Friday (Oct 26).
“Veteran leaders joined the Oikya Front’s rally in Sylhet, but they could not create any stir among the people,” he added.
The Road Transport and Bridges Minister said those who cannot win in movement would not be able to win the election.
About the forthcoming general election, the minister said the poll-time government will perform its duty like in other parliamentary democratic countries.
About the metro-rail project, the minister said works of the project will be completed in two phases.
The first phase works of the project from Uttara to Agargaon will end by December in 2019 while the second phase works by December in 2020, he added.
