AL is going to visit China, BNP has not got invitation

Awami league- BNPA 19-member high-level AL delegation will fly to China on September 19, at the invitation of the ruling Communist Party of China. The 19-member team will stay there until 27 September. Meanwhile, one of the party sources of BNP said that no one them is going to China as they have not received any the invitation.

Barrister Biplab Barua, Deputy Office Secretary has insured Bangla tribune that Presidium Member Lt. Col. (Retd.) Faruq Khan will lead the delegation team.

Joint General Secretary Dr. Dipu Moni, International Affairs Secretary Dr. Shammi Ahmed, Legal Affairs Secretary Adv. S M Rezaul Karim, Information and Research Secretary Adv. Afzal Hossain, Forest and Environment Affairs Secretary Delwar Hossain, Science and Technology Affairs secretary Engr. Md. Abdus Sobur, Women Affairs Secretary Fazilatunnesa Indira, Cultural Affairs Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil, Education and Human Resource Affairs Secretary Shamsunnahar Chapa, Deputy Office Secretary Biplab Barua, executive member Dipankar Talukder, Parvin Zaman Kalpana, Advocate Riazul Kabir Kawser, Merina Jahan, Badaruddin Ahmed Kamran, Raymond Areng and MP Habibe Millat are in the delegation team.

Coordinator of the delegation team Faruk Khan said the Bangla tribune, ‘We are going there at the invitation of the Communist Party of China. Strategies of these two parties will be discussed there. But different interests of the two states will be discussed first. The issue of China’s investment in Bangladesh will also be discussed.’

International Affairs Secretary Dr. Shammi Ahmed said, ‘On this tour, we will discuss our party's relations with their party. But the bilateral issues between the two countries will be prioritized.’ She also said, ‘We will represent Bangladesh there. The main purpose of this tour is to associate China with the electoral promises and ongoing development projects of the Awami League government.’

No one from BNP is going to visit China. While contacted from The Bangla Tribune BNP’s standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, International Affairs Secretary Barrister Rumin Farhana and media wing member Shairul Kabir Khan said that they don’t know anything about this issue. However, a source from BNP said that no invitation was made to BNP on behalf of the Communist Party of China.
