The Dhaka University has decided not to join the integrated admission test of public universities, which is expected to begin from the 2020-21 academic session.
The decision was made at a meeting of the academic council on Monday (Feb 24), according to several teachers who attended the meeting.
Earlier, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Chattogram University (CU) have also declined to join the system.
On Feb 12, the integrated admission test of all public universities was approved in a meeting at University Grant Commission (UGC) office.
In the meeting, vice chancellors of DU, CU, BUET and Jahangirnagar University withheld their final decision till the clearance from the academic council.
