Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the ongoing student demonstration is logical.
“I don’t think the ongoing demonstration is illogical. It has some logic,” he said at a press briefing at the Bridge Division Wednesday.
The government is aware of it and deeply grieved, he said.
The minister urged the agitated students to go back to their campus.
It can be mentioned here, a Jebel-e-Noor bus, owned by a close relative of Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, ran over some students on Airport Road killing two of them on the spot Sunday. Since then the students have taken to the streets demanding safe road and punishment of the driver.
