Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) on Wednesday cancelled the registration and fitness certificate of Jabal-e-Noor Paribahan.
Mahbub-E-Rabbani, deputy director of BRTA, confirmed the information to Bangla Tribune.
Mahbub said, “We have taken the initiative to cancel the licenses of two drivers.”
Earlier on Sunday, two students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment School and College were killed and 12 others received injuries on Airport Road as a Jabal-e-Noor bus ploughed through a crowd, while competing with another bus of the same company on Sunday.
The news sparked through like a flame and the students of different colleges and educational institutions have been demonstrating demanding exemplary punishment of the accused drivers and safe roads.
