The mayoral candidates vying for Dhaka North and South City Corporations elections will cast vote in their respective areas, sources said.
Voting to the two city corporations will start from 8am on Saturday (Feb 1) and continue till 4pm at a stretch.
Awami League's mayoral candidate for Dhaka South city Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh will cast votes at Dhanmondi’s Dr Maleka University College, while his main opponent BNP’s Ishraque Hossain will cast ballot at Shaheed Shahjahan Government Primary School in Gopibag.
Both are expected to cast ballots in the first hour of the voting.
Jatiya Party’s Dhaka South mayoral aspirant Saifuddin Ahmed Milon has set Lalbag’s Amligola Government Primary School polling center to cast his vote between 9am and 10am.
Among Dhaka North City’s mayoral contesters, AL’s Atiqul Isalm will cast vote at Uttara’s Nawab Habibullah School and College and his main opponent BNP’s Tabith Awal at Gulshan’s Manarat International School.
Both are expected to come around 8am.
Dhaka North mayoral candidate CBP leader Ahmed Sajedul Haque will cast vote at Adarsha School in Mirpur around 11am while Islami Andolon's Sheikh Fazle Bari Masud will do so at Rampura’s Ekranunnesa High School around 8am.
