A Boeing 777-300 aircraft left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Friday (Jan 31) after 6 pm, said the airport’s Director AHM Towhidul Ahsan.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh mission in China has taken the students to Wuhan International Airport.
Sources said that the students, who will be landing at around 2 am Saturday (Feb 1), will first be kept in the quarantine facilities at Kurmitola’s Hajj camp.
Biman Bangladesh Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Md Mokabbir Hossain said that it will take four hours for the flight to reach China.
Hubei University of Technology student Habibur Rahman Habib said that they had to go through a health check-up before entering Wuhan airport.
Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control And Research (IEDCR) chief Meerjady Sabrina Flora said that they are prepared even if any of the students are found to be infected with the deadly virus.
She added that four medical teams at the quarantine facility will keep the students under observation for 14 days.
