Former BNP Minister Nazmul Huda’s wife and two daughters have secured eight-week anticipatory bail in two money laundering cases.
An HC bench comprising Justice Obaidul Hassan and AKM Zahirul Hoque has passed the order on Monday (Jan 13).
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed two separate cases against Huda’s wife Sigma Huda and his daughters Antara Selima Huda and Srabanti Amina Huda for allegedly laundering nearly Tk 64.5 million to buy flats in London.
Sigma has been charged in both cases. They are charged with amassing wealth beyond known sources and laundering nearly Tk 65.5 million and Tk 46.6 million abroad in two phases.
