Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted that night temperature may fall slightly due to cloudy sky over the country.
“Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during midnight to morning,” said a Met office bulletin on Saturday (Jan 11).
According to the bulletin, the weather may remain dry with the temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am on Saturday.
Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to west Bengal and adjoining western part of Bangladesh as seasonal low lies over South Bay, it said.
The foggy weather is likely to continue for two or three more days across the country.
“The overcast condition may continue for another two or three days,” said meteorologist Md Abul Kalam Mollik told UNB.
The country's lowest temperature was recorded at Ishwardi on Saturday, where the murcury fell to 10.2 degrees Celsius.
