As many as 5,233 people have been affected with various cold-related diseases across the country in the last 24 hours, the government’s health department said on Saturday (Jan 11).
Data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room showed that 834 of the patients received treatment for acute respiratory infection, reports BSS.
Another 1,754 were treated for diarrhea and 2,645 for other diseases including jaundice, inflammation in the eye, skin diseases, and fever.
Fifty four deaths were reported across the country between Nov 1 and Jan 10 due to cold-related diseases.
