Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) will arrest all corrupt officials, says its Commissioner Shafiqul Islam.
He made the remarks while speaking at an event organised by the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) and Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit at Dhaka’s DMP headquarters on Saturday (Jan 11).
“No one should think of luxurious life with dirty money,” he said.
“DMP has placed surveillance on the source, transactions and receivers of illegally amassed money,” said the DMP chief Islam.
The police will restrain the perpetrators’ investment, he added.
Islam called on the ACC officials to continue their duty, ignoring threats and assured them of the police’s support during any crisis.
